The following is a speech that was given by Albert E.N. Gray at the National Association of Life Underwriters convention of 1940. It was made to those that sold life insurance for a living. Selling anything in life requires a certain degree of resilience, grit, and determination. The fortitude to keep on pushing forward when people shut doors in your face. In a field where failure is common, the traits that make one successful are also common.
